PixieWire vs MouseDining
MouseDining is one of the best-known Disney dining alert sites. Here is how it compares with PixieWire on what you pay, how alerts reach you, and what you can see for free. We build PixieWire, so we've linked every MouseDining fact to the page it came from.

Free alerts vs free data
MouseDining gives you 6 alerts at a time by email for free, and every plan includes a calendar of recent availability. PixieWire has no free alerts. What we give away is data: every restaurant page shows a 60-day availability calendar and 30 days of history without an account, so you can see how hard a table is before you pay anyone. If you only need a free email alert, MouseDining is the better deal.
Texts without a subscription
MouseDining sends texts on its paid plans, $9 a month or $90 a year, and those plans renew until you cancel. PixieWire's passes are one payment and never renew: texts start at $9.99 for one restaurant for 12 months, and a Trip Pass is $24.99 for 90 days with 25 alerts and texts. For one trip that costs less than three months of a $9 subscription you have to remember to cancel.
An app with push alerts
PixieWire alerts arrive by email and as a push notification in our free iPhone app, on every pass. We found no MouseDining app; its alerts come by email and, on paid plans, by text.
Heavy users and travel planners
MouseDining's annual plan holds 100 alerts for $90 a year and lets you add notes for clients. Our Annual Pass holds 50 alerts for $69.99. If you watch dozens of tables for many families, MouseDining gives you more alerts per dollar. Travel advisors who want to gift alerts to clients should look at our advisor program instead.

Questions
Is PixieWire cheaper than MouseDining?
For free email alerts, no: MouseDining's free plan costs nothing and PixieWire's cheapest pass is $4.99. For texts on one trip, usually yes: a Trip Pass is $24.99 once for 90 days, while MouseDining's text plans are $9 a month or $90 a year and renew until you cancel.
Does MouseDining have an app?
We found no MouseDining app in the US App Store when we checked. PixieWire has a free iPhone app that delivers alerts as push notifications.
Can I use both?
Yes. Neither service books for you or needs your Disney login, so running both on the same table does no harm. You book in My Disney Experience whichever alert reaches you first.
Is either one affiliated with Disney?
No. PixieWire is not affiliated with The Walt Disney Company. Alert services are independent companies; Disney's own way to book is My Disney Experience.
