How the 60-day window works
| Who | Opens | What you can book | Time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Walt Disney World, Disney Resort hotel guests | 60 days before check-in | Your whole stay, up to 10 nights, in one go | About 6:00 AM Eastern |
| Walt Disney World, everyone else | 60 days before each date | One day at a time | About 6:00 AM Eastern |
| Disneyland Resort, hotel guests included | 60 days before each date | One day at a time | About 6:00 AM Pacific |
Each meal date opens on its own morning, so the window rolls forward one day at a time. A Walt Disney World hotel stay is the exception: everything from check-in through your 10th night opens on the same morning. From Disney's Walt Disney World and Disneyland help pages and Disney's planDisney panel on the Eastern opening time and on Disneyland hotel guests, checked October 25, 2026.
Before your booking morning
- Add a credit card to your Disney account. Most Walt Disney World restaurants hold a card for every reservation, and Disney says a saved card makes booking faster (Disney).
- Staying at a Walt Disney World hotel? Link the hotel reservation to your MyDisney account first. Some resort restaurants hold a limited number of tables for hotel guests, and you only see them once it's linked (Disney).
- Decide your must-have tables and a backup for each, and know which day you want them.
Missed it? Tables come back
Disney says a cancelled reservation time is released to other guests immediately (Disney), and most Walt Disney World restaurants let guests cancel without a fee until 2 hours before (Disney). So a restaurant that is full today can open up later. Our guide to Disney's cancellation policy covers the fees and deadlines that decide when guests let tables go.
Questions
How far in advance can you make Disney dining reservations?
60 days. At Walt Disney World most guests can book 60 days before each meal, and Disney Resort hotel guests can book from 60 days before check-in for their whole stay, up to 10 nights. At Disneyland, select restaurants take reservations up to 60 days ahead.
What time do Disney World dining reservations open?
At about 6:00 AM Eastern Time. Disney says new booking windows become available at approximately 6:00 AM each day, Walt Disney World's local time.
Do Disney Resort hotel guests get an earlier booking window?
At Walt Disney World, yes. With a Disney Resort hotel reservation you can book from 60 days before arrival for your entire stay, up to 10 nights, so a guest checking in on December 10 can book the whole stay on October 11. Disneyland has no equivalent: Disney's planDisney panel says Disneyland Resort hotel guests book 60 days ahead one day at a time, like everyone else.
What time do Disneyland dining reservations open?
Disneyland's help page doesn't give a time, only that select restaurants take reservations up to 60 days in advance. Disney's planDisney panel says most open at approximately 6:00 AM Pacific Time, and that some special dining, especially around the holidays, doesn't always open exactly 60 days out.
Does check-out day count as part of my stay?
Disney's page says you can book your entire length of stay but doesn't say whether that includes check-out day. The calculator shows check-out day opening with the rest of your stay, and also the latest it can open: 60 days before that day, the same as for any guest.
What if my stay is longer than 10 nights?
Disney's whole-stay window covers up to 10 nights. For the nights after that, the calculator shows 60 days before each date, which is the latest those dates open.
What if the restaurant I want is full when my window opens?
Keep looking. Disney says a cancelled reservation time is made available to other guests immediately, and most Walt Disney World restaurants let guests cancel without a fee until 2 hours before. PixieWire's free 60-day calendar shows what is open now, and a PixieWire dining alert watches for the table you want and sends you a link to book it.
Do I need a park ticket to dine in a Disney World park?
Yes. Disney says valid theme park admission is required to dine at an in-park table-service restaurant, and that a dining reservation does not guarantee access to a park.
Disney can change these rules at any time; the policy shown when you book in My Disney Experience or the Disneyland app is the one that applies. Not affiliated with The Walt Disney Company.
