One account, everywhere
Sign in to the app with the email you use on pixiewire.com. Your watches, your alerts and your pass come with you. Buy a pass on the site or in the app — it works in both. Every pass is one-time, and nothing auto-renews.
Questions
- Does the app cost anything?
- No. The app is free, and everything that is free on pixiewire.com is free in the app. Watching a restaurant needs a pass — the same one-time passes sold here, from $4.99, bought on the site or inside the app. Nothing auto-renews.
- I already bought a pass on the website. Do I need to buy it again?
- No. Sign in to the app with the same email and your pass is there. A pass bought in the app works on the website the same way.
- What are Ride Alerts?
- A push from the app when a ride you are watching goes down, reopens, or its posted wait drops to your number (10 to 60 minutes), at Walt Disney World, Disneyland and Universal in Orlando and Hollywood. They come with the Month, Trip and Annual Pass, or a Ride Pass Trip: $4.99 for 7 days, starting with your first watch (or the Ride Pass Annual, $14.99 for a year).
- Is there an Android app?
- Not yet — iPhone first. The website works on any phone in the meantime, and dining alerts by email and text do not need the app at all. Ride Alerts are app push only, so they need the iPhone app for now.
- Do I need the app to get alerts?
- For dining alerts, no: they arrive by email (and by text on passes with SMS, to a verified phone) whether or not you have the app. Ride Alerts are push notifications, so they need the app. The app also adds push for dining and the planning tools in one place.
