PixieWire vs Mickey Alerts
Mickey Alerts texts you when a Disney hotel room, dining table or DVC villa opens, on monthly plans, and its top plan can book a table for you. Here is how it compares with PixieWire for Disney dining alerts. We build PixieWire, so every Mickey Alerts fact below links to the page it came from.

A monthly plan vs one payment
Mickey Alerts plans are $7 a month (3 alerts), $15 (5 alerts) or $40 (30 alerts), billed monthly and renewing until you cancel; its FAQ says a renewal you didn't mean to keep is refunded if you ask within 5 days and haven't used Mickey Alerts since. PixieWire passes are one payment with an end date: $9.99 with texts for one table for 12 months, $14.99 for 30 days or $24.99 for 90 days with 25 alerts. Watching a trip from the day its 60-day booking window opens is two or three months of a plan, or one Trip Pass.
Published check intervals
Mickey Alerts publishes how often each plan checks: once a day on the free trial, every hour on $7, every 10 minutes on $15 and every 2 minutes on the $40 Club. PixieWire checks each watched Walt Disney World table about every 18 seconds on every pass, measured, with the method on our alert speed page. Neither service has published a side-by-side delivery test.
Hotels, DVC and auto-booking
Mickey Alerts also watches Disney hotel rooms at Walt Disney World and Disneyland, Disney Vacation Club villas on The Club, and discounts, and sells Lightning Lane Fast Forward ($69 a trip, $29 with The Club). On The Club it can book a matching table on your own Disney account the moment one opens; you sign in to Disney inside Mickey Alerts for that. PixieWire does none of these: we never ask for your Disney login and never book. We tell you a table opened and you book it in My Disney Experience.
Who gets the alert
Every Mickey Alerts plan texts the one phone number on the account; its FAQ says a second number can't be added, and its iPhone and Android app adds push. PixieWire sends email and iPhone app push on every pass, texts from $9.99, and every pass shares its alerts with up to 2 more people by email or phone number. We don't have an Android app yet.
One date or a whole week
Mickey Alerts' FAQ says that for dining you create separate alerts for each restaurant, date and party size. One PixieWire alert covers up to 7 days in a row in the time window you pick and counts once against your pass, so each of a Trip Pass's 25 alerts can watch a different restaurant for a whole week.
What you can see before you pay
Mickey Alerts' $40 Club includes a Dining Availability Board with every table at every Disney restaurant 60 days out. PixieWire shows a 60-day availability calendar and 30 days of history on every restaurant page free, with no account, across 155 dining venues.
