How fast are PixieWire dining alerts?
While you have an alert, we check your Walt Disney World restaurant, date and party size about every 18 seconds, on every pass. When a table opens, your email leaves about half a second after we find it.

Every pass gets the same speed
The $4.99 Single Watch is checked exactly as often as the $69.99 Annual Pass. There is no paid fast lane: speed isn't what the passes charge for.
What each service publishes about speed
Words like “instant” or “fastest” can't be compared. A published check interval or a published test can. From each company's own pages, checked October 24, 2026.
| Service | What it publishes |
|---|---|
| PixieWire | Measured: a check about every 18 seconds (median 18.5 s), email out a median 0.5 s after a find, on every pass. Method below. |
| MouseDining | Publishes checks every 2 to 30 minutes, popular alerts more often (the same help page also says a minimum of every 5 minutes) |
| MouseWatcher | No check interval published; says it checks continuously and alerts are instant |
| Thrill Data | No dining check interval published; says Plus members' dining alerts are checked more often than free ones |
| Stakeout | No check interval published; its app listing promises immediate alerts |
| MagicTable | No number published: its site says alerts arrive within seconds, its restaurant pages say it checks every few minutes, and its app listing says it is faster than any other service, with no test |
| Mickey Alerts | Publishes checks by plan: once a day on the free trial, every hour ($7), every 10 minutes ($15), every 2 minutes ($40 Club) |
| ParkDrop | No check interval published; says alerts go out within seconds and calls itself fastest, citing its own test with no results published |
| RopeDrop Planner | Publishes checks about every 10 minutes, on every plan including free |
| TouringPlans | No check interval published; a search stops after its first find until you restart it |
| DreamTable | Its FAQ says it checks every 10 seconds and notifies within seconds; no method published |
| SupaPark | No dining check interval published; its pricing page says paid push alerts arrive the moment a drop happens |
How we measure
- Every check of a watched restaurant, date and party size is logged with its time. The interval is the time between two checks of the same one. 144,011 checks of 69 watched tables over 11.8 hours; 0 failed. Disney answering “no tables at this party size” counts as a good check: that is sold out, not an error.
- Hand-off time runs from the check that found a table to the email or push provider accepting the message. How long your email app or phone then takes is up to them.
- We publish medians and the 95th percentile, not best cases, and re-measure every month.
What these numbers don't cover
- Walt Disney World only, for now: Disneyland alerts are checked by our regular sweep, which is slower, until they join this lane.
- Experiences such as Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique are checked about every 20 minutes.
- We can't know the second Disney released a table, only when we saw it. On average it was there about half an interval before our check.
A fair head-to-head
Nobody, us included, has published an independent side-by-side speed test of Disney dining alerts. If you run one (same restaurant, date and party on each service, arrival times logged), send it to us and we'll link it here, whoever wins.

Most people need one of these two passes. Both are one payment and never renew. You book the table yourself in My Disney Experience; we never ask for your Disney login.
